Welcome Stamford Memorial Post 9179 in Stamford, Texas.


Our post is dedicated to serving veterans, their families, and the surrounding communities through patriotism, service, remembrance, and fellowship. We are actively rebuilding and growing our post while working to create a stronger future for local veterans and the community we proudly serve.


Post 9179 is focused on:
• Supporting veterans and their families
• Community service and outreach
• Youth programs including Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen
• Patriotic and memorial events
• Building improvements and future community activities
• Re-establishing our VFW Auxiliary


We welcome eligible veterans, Auxiliary members, volunteers, and community supporters who want to help strengthen our post and continue the mission of the VFW.

Second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM

• Monthly Post Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM.


• Stamford Memorial Post 9179 is actively working to re-establish the VFW Auxiliary and is currently seeking interested founding charter members.


• We welcome eligible veterans interested in joining the VFW and helping strengthen our local post and community.


• Volunteers and community supporters are encouraged to participate in upcoming cleanup projects, outreach activities, youth programs, and future events.


• Additional announcements, events, and community activities will be posted here as they are scheduled.

In keeping with the longstanding mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, our purpose is:


• To preserve and strengthen comradeship among veterans


• To assist worthy comrades, veterans, and their families


• To honor and perpetuate the memory of those who served and sacrificed for our nation


• To promote patriotism, citizenship, and American values within our community


• To support youth programs, education, and community service


• To maintain true allegiance to the Constitution and laws of the United States of America


• To preserve and defend the freedoms of the United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic
