A: Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM.

Q: Who can join the VFW?
A: Veterans who meet the eligibility requirements for service in overseas conflicts or qualifying expeditionary campaigns may be eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Q: What is the VFW Auxiliary?
A: The VFW Auxiliary is a support organization dedicated to serving veterans, military families, and local communities through volunteerism, patriotism, youth activities, and community service.
Q: Who can join the Auxiliary?
A: Eligibility generally includes anyone over the age of 16 that meet any of these categories, spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren of veterans eligible for the VFW, including step, adopted, and half-family relationships.
Q: Is the Auxiliary currently active?
A: Stamford Memorial Post 9179 is currently working to re-establish the Auxiliary and is seeking founding charter members.

A: Community volunteers and supporters are always welcome to assist with events, projects, youth programs, and outreach efforts.

Subscription dues are just like a magazine subscription. It gives you
365 days of membership in the VFW. With this being the first year that
they are coming into effect it will be a process that we are not use to.
The basic breakdown of what is going to happen is:
If you are an annual member and you pay your dues before Jan your
expiration will be Jan 2026. If you pay after that date whatever day
your dues are processed at National will be the new expiration date.
Example would be that you send in your dues to National on 1 Feb 2026 and National processed them on the 15 Feb. Your new expiration date
would be 15 Feb 2027.
Annual membership Dues are $90 and due on the anniversary of the date you joined the VFW or the date of annual renewal. There is also an initial $10 application fee when joining the post for the first time. Alternatively to annual membership dues there are lifetime memberships that allow you to pay a single one time fee depending on your age which then exempts you from ever paying any dues again. Lifetime membership has prices based on age brackets and there are also payment plans available.
