Stamford Memorial Post 9179 welcomes eligible veterans who want to continue serving veterans, supporting the community, and preserving the values of patriotism, service, and camaraderie.

As yesterday’s defenders of freedom, we welcome today’s military service members into our ranks. The common bond of VFW members is honorable military service in foreign conflicts, overseas operations, and expeditionary campaigns in defense of our nation.

The VFW continues to support veterans and their families through advocacy, community service, youth programs, patriotic events, veteran outreach, and fellowship among those who served.

You may be eligible for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars if you:

• Served honorably in the United States Armed Forces, and
• Served in a foreign conflict, overseas operation, or qualifying expeditionary campaign recognized by the VFW.

• Camaraderie and fellowship
• Community involvement opportunities
• National VFW member programs and benefits
• Opportunities to continue serving veterans and your community

Interested veterans are encouraged to contact us or attend a monthly meeting to learn more about membership eligibility and the application process.
